Dancing Penguins 

First Grade

Overview of lesson: The student will be able to complete a finished drawing of a dancing penguin using shapes. Student will be able to recall what is the shape is being said/drawn. Then will be able to reconstruct the shape by drawing (producing) it on their paper.

Elements of Art

Seventh Grade 

Overview of lesson: The students will review Herí Matisse’s Still life and Edward Hopper’s Gas at their tables. The teacher will then talk with the students about their observations of the artworks. Going over the Elements of Art. The students will have the rest of class to make a still life or landscape, detailed with at least two elements of art.

Mandalas and Radial Symmetry

Nineth Grade

Overview of lesson: The student will be able to use their understanding of radial symmetry to make their own Mandala. The teacher will start class by going over the comparison of symmetry and radial symmetry. Then the student will start to make their own mandala using radial symmetry.
